Cet art ancien apparu il y a plus de 4000 ans dans le nord de l'Inde, devient une référence pour l'initiation des professionnels et des pratiquants, pour son apport et le développement de nombreuses compétences en combat à mains nues, pour son efficacité, sa rapidité de réaction et sa vision particulière du combat avec armes, de l'escrime et de la lutte.
Dans cet ouvrage, le Docurdo (Maître) Daniel Guijarro présente la méthodologie Silaram, qui combine l'escrime, avec le bâton court et le Churi, rasoir ou couteau, et le long bâton gitan de 1,50m. Dans le Silaram, il n'y a pas de ligne médiane car il y a un mouvement continu.
Lorsque nous nous déplaçons, la ligne médiane disparaît et la garde change pour la défense et l'attaque.
Une approche pragmatique qui tire parti des qualités naturelles du mouvement du corps, avec une méthodologie naturelle où la maîtrise de soi et les réponses instinctives à l'attaque et à la défense sont caractéristiques.
